Outdoor Halloween Light Decorations

Where to Hang Halloween Light Decorations
Hanging lights on your house and fence is a great place to begin the haunt. You may even want to wrap a string around a tree. Miniature cup hooks work great for stringing your Halloween lights along anything made of wood. You can also us a staple gun but be very careful, you don’t want to staple through the wire or break the protective coating. Plastic light hooks can be used to attach your Halloween light decorations to the gutters of your house.
Weather and Halloween Light Decorations
After all your lights are in place check to make sure all the connections are tight and that there are no open ended plugs. You need to be sure water can’t get into the plugs and damage the lights or cause a short circuit. Rain, snow and condensation can cause problems with outdoor light decorations and your lighted displays.
Extension Cords and Halloween Light Decorations
Use only heavy duty extension cords that are UL-rated for outdoor use. Try to cover the cords so they can’t be seen, it just looks better this way. Run them where trick-or-treaters and other guests won’t have an opportunity to trip on them.
